On 14 October 2024, the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland, hosted the 10th annual Portfolio Experience Conference, where the AIPMO took center stage with a dynamic presence across two packed days of learning and collaboration.
Kicking off the event, AIPMO led two impactful half-day masterclasses alongside valued partners Tiba USA and Deecon UK. Stephan Ower spearheaded the “EPMO on the Mega Project” session, while Karl Reilly facilitated the “PMO Observation Team,” both delivering actionable insights to an engaged audience of professionals representing diverse industries and roles.
The main conference opened with thought-provoking keynotes by Peter Taylor and Piotr Parys, diving into the future of AI and its implications for the project world. Olga Kurman and Nancy Nouaimeh followed, with Nancy presenting “Leveraging the Human Element as a Catalyst for Success,” focusing on the human-centric drivers of PMO effectiveness. Nancy, a key contributor to AIPMO’s PMO Maturity and Impact Model, brought valuable perspective on near-tacit factors and change management.
The Best PMO Polish Awards recognized excellence within the community, proudly sponsored by AIPMO.
The afternoon featured powerful presentations from Marisa Silva, the “Lucky PM,” and Stephan Ower, followed by an inspiring finale from Dr. Robert Joslin on “Rethinking Sustainability: How PMOs Lead Beyond Projects,” linking PMOs to sustainability initiatives—a theme first explored with IPMA.
The conference concluded on a high note, reinforcing AIPMO’s commitment to advancing the global PMO profession.
